The list is
openclosed for submissions
Sorry, friend! The list closed Tuesday, June 6 at 8:00pm. You missed it. Try again next year?
All about the Master List of sales
- Opens for submissions: Sunday, May 21
- Closes to edits and new submissions: Tuesday, June 6 at 8:00pm sharp
- Distributed to the public: Wednesday, June 7, 2017 by 9:00am
The form will ask for your sale address, days of operation, and hours each day; it’ll also ask you for a description of what you’re selling. You should be aware of what merchandise your sale contains before you fill out the submission form.
Adding your sale to the list
Cost to add your sale
Free! Can’t beat that, huh? At this point, the garage sales aren’t a moneymaking venture for me. I love garage sales and I love serving my community. This is a good way to combine the two.
How and when to add your sale
That big ol’ purple button up there will take you to a form that collects your sale information. Please don’t send me your info via email; everyone needs to fill out the form.
At 8:00 pm on June 6, we’ll finalize the list. No edits after that. Please don’t procrastinate. This is a hard and fast deadline. As soon as 8:00 pm hits, I begin prepping the list for distribution.
How to change your sale description or hours
After you submit, you can edit your description and hours of operation. Look for the confirmation email you received when you submitted; it has an “Edit Response” button at the top of the message. There will be no more edits after 8:00 pm on June 6.
How to remove your sale
Plans changed and need to cancel your sale? To remove your listing, email Lydia at firstname.lastname@example.org. After the list closes, I can remove your sale from the Google map, but I may not be able to remove it from the list documents.
Who to contact with questions
Email Lydia at email@example.com.
North Liberty sign ordinance
Every year, especially for the Citywide Garage Sales, we get special permission from the city to temporarily waive the City of North Liberty’s sign ordinance relating to garage sales. This is super nice of them, so please be equally generous and pick up your signs when your sale is over. Only two parts of the sign ordinance apply to citywide garage sale signs:
- Garage sale signs shall be displayed not for more than 48 hours before or more than four hours after the end of the sale.
- Such signs shall not be larger than four square feet.
- A permit is not required for garage sale signs.
